Principles and requirements of automatic assembly line installation layout

Automatic assembly line is developed on the basis of assembly line. The automatic assembly line not only requires that all kinds of machining devices on the assembly line, which can automatically complete the predetermined processes and technological processes to make the products become qualified products, but also requires that the loading and unloading of work pieces, the tightening of positioning, the transportation of work pieces between processes, the sorting of work pieces and even the packaging can be carried out automatically. Make it work automatically according to the specified procedure. We call this automatic mechanical and electrical integration system to be automatic assembly line.

The automated assembly line is the route taken by the product production process, that is, the route formed by a series of assembly line activities such as processing, transportation, assembly, and inspection, starting from the entry of raw materials into the production site. The overall requirement of the installation layout of the automated assembly line is to achieve the principle of improving production efficiency and saving.  1. The graphic design of the automated assembly line should ensure that the conveying route of the items is as short as possible, the operation of the staff is convenient, the work of each process is convenient, and the production area is effectively and maximized, and the connection between the installation of the automated assembly line should also be considered. Therefore, the layout of the automated assembly line should consider the form of the automated assembly line, the arrangement method of the installation work site, etc.

 2. When the automated assembly line is installed, the arrangement of the working places should conform to the process route. When the process has more than two working places, the arrangement method of the working places of the same process should be considered. Generally, when there are two or more even-numbered work sites of the same type, a double-column arrangement should be considered, and they are divided into two examples of the transportation route. But when a worker manage multiple pieces of equipment, consider making the distance the worker moves as short as possible for the assembly line.

3. The installation position of the automated assembly line involves the relationship between the various assembly lines with belt conveyor type, roller conveyor type, chain conveyor type… The automated assembly line should be arranged according to the order required for the assembly of the processing components. The overall layout should carefully consider the flow of materials, so as to shorten the route and reduce the transportation workload. In short, attention should be paid to the rational and scientific spatial organization of the flow production process.

4. The feature of the automatic assembly line is that the processing object is automatically transferred from one machine tool to another, and the machine tool automatically performs processing, loading and unloading, inspection, etc.; the worker’s task is only to adjust, supervise and manage the automatic line, and do not participate in direct operations; all The machines and equipment operate at a uniform rhythm, and the production process is highly continuous. Therefore, the installation steps of the automated assembly line must be performed according to the above requirements.
